On January 28, 2021, a new version of the Decree of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation No. 2 "On the approval of sanitary rules and norms SanPiN 1.2.3685-21" Hygienic standards and requirements for ensuring the safety and (or) harmlessness of environmental factors for humans "was developed. The document was registered with the Ministry of Justice on January 29, 2021 and will enter into force on March 1, 2021.
In the course of long discussions between RAWSS and Rospotrebnadzor, it was agreed to increase the concentration of silicon in drinking water to 20 mg / l (and 25 with a hardness less than 3.5). In addition, the tolerance of 0.5 for aluminum and 1 for iron was removed, only the lower standard was left, therefore it is recommended to carefully monitor the quality of the clarification processes. The threshold for trihalomethanes was also lowered, while the norm for chloroform of 0.1 was agreed upon for a long time, but in the latest edition it was reduced to 0.06.
RAWSS separately notes that chlorates are greatly reduced, because they correspond to the processes of hydrolysis of chlorine dioxide (also exist).
