The final of the ecological accelerator GreenTech Startup Booster 2021 took place
On December 16, 2021, the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology hosted the superfinal of the international program for the development and implementation of technological projects in the field of ecology GreenTech StartUp Booster (GTSB). This year, 963 applications from 170 cities around the world were submitted for the program. 25 projects of technology startups, selected by expert groups of industrial partners of the program and representatives of the scientific community, took part in the superfinal. The best projects of the Student and Junior tracks also presented their projects.

About GTSB

GreenTech is the largest annual program in Russia for finding and supporting the implementation of technological startups in the direction of improving the environment, reducing the negative impact on the environment, and ensuring sustainable development. The search and selection of projects is carried out by experts of the Skolkovo Foundation at the technological request of the largest industrial companies in Russia and Europe. The co-organizer of the program in 2021 is MIC. Held with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.

GTSB partners

The Skolkovo Foundation's program is being held for the second time in two years and is gaining more and more popularity not only from startups, but also from industrial partners. HELYX has been partnering with GTSB for the second year in a row, expanding and strengthening its relationship with the Fund. Along with HELYX, the accelerator was supported by YATEK, Mosenergo, Accenture, TMK, Norilsk Nickel, 3M, Severstal, Gazprombank, Almaz Group, Sibur, NLMK Group Gazproneft, Total, Enel, EDF, Ilim Group and many other infrastructure, scientific, international and information partners.

GTSB Winners (Main Track)

This year, the winners of the main track were: Real Invest Group of Companies (carbon dioxide capture and treatment plants), DWF lab (generating electricity from wind energy), Rotary Disk Technologies LLC, Rusgeotech LLC (temperature monitoring in the regions of the Arctic zone RF), Aerogaz LLC (utilization of APG and flares and dehydration of CO2).

Junior Track Winners (schoolchildren)

3rd place

"SOK" - a system for optimizing the microclimate in real time) and "Bindata" (installation of sensors for the occupancy of garbage cans to reduce the cost of transporting PUHTO and reduce CO2 emissions. Each project received 25,000 rubles.

2nd place

"MohoFilter" - development and creation of a "smart" system of street filters using moss (50,000 rubles).

1st place

"The second life of wind turbine blades" Behind - the wind, ahead - the sea! "

Student Winners

3rd place

Spawn is the creation of a product from a material containing mycelium in its structure. The project is aimed at creating an ecosystem-friendly composting of non-recyclable composite materials containing cellulose (RUB 100,000).

2nd place

the mask - biodegradable personal protective equipment (PPE) for solving the problem of environmental pollution with waste caused by the global coronavirus pandemic (200,000 rubles).

1st place

Siberia - development of an innovative antifouling coating applied under water and operating at low temperatures (300,000 rubles).
