Helyx manufactures the HelyFloculator flocculators designed to efficiently form and retain flocs during the flocculation process. The flocculation process is the process of precipitation of flocculant molecules on the surface of suspended phase particles and the subsequent interaction of flocculant molecules with each other in the form of the formation of flocculent clots (flakes).
To accelerate the flocculation process, it is necessary to collide the particles with each other. The more often the particles of pollution collide with each other, the faster the process of forming bonds between them with the help of an added reagent - a flocculant, and further, a flocculent sediment, which can already be separated from water, proceeds. It is possible to increase the number of such collisions when creating laminar or turbulent flows of waste water, therefore, to increase the speed and efficiency of the formation of floccules (flakes) for the purpose of their subsequent separation, it is carried out in equipment specially designed for this purpose - flocculators.
Wastewater treatment facilities.
Static stainless steel mixers are installed directly on the feed water pipeline. The reagent is fed into the mixer through a branch pipe perpendicular to the main flow of the treated water. The mixing effect is achieved due to multiple division and directional swirling of the flow on the turbulizing elements when the flow moves inside the apparatus. Mixing time - 0.8 - 1.2 sec. Head loss - 12-15 m (1.2 - 1.5 bar).
The welded frame is made of a profile (square tube) of carbon steel with an anti-corrosion coating or of stainless steel AISI 304; the tube block is made of PVC; static mixer at the coagulant inlet made of stainless steel AISI 304; the static mixer at the outlet for the flocculant is made of stainless steel AISI 304. Estimated water treatment time 40 seconds, sequential introduction of coagulant and flocculant.
