General description

HELYX manufactures Helyx high-performance drum screens, type MSB, which are suitable for the treatment of domestic and industrial waste water from structures of various capacities.


Application

The drum sieve is used to clean wastewater from large debris and suspended solids. Removal of coarse inclusions is achieved by rotating the drum.


Application area
  • in treatment facilities at the stage of mechanical cleaning;
  • separation of paper residues in the pulp and paper industry;
  • food processing industries with a high content of small impurities - grains, bones, oils (fish or dairy industries, slaughterhouses, etc.);
  • other objects of high productivity, which require constant work of the sieve.

Short description

The contaminated wastewater flows into the receiving chamber, fr om which the wastewater is uniformly distributed onto the drum. Further, from the receiving chamber, the flow enters the outer surface of the drum. Through the gaps, water is filtered into the inner chamber, from wh ere it flows by gravity through the pipe. In this case, all mechanical impurity remains in the drum.

With the accumulation of debris on its surface, the flow through the sieve openings decreases. The water level rises in the receiving tank. This is recorded by a special sensor. When a certain level is reached, a signal is sent to rotate the drum.

In this way, the accumulated sludge is removed from the surface using a cleaning plate. In a few revolutions, a complete cleaning takes place, after which the rotation of the drum stops. To wash the inner surface of the sieve, nozzles are installed inside the drum. If necessary, they are used to rinse the inner surface of the sieve with water under pressure.
