The combined plant is a universal technology for mechanical wastewater treatment, which includes a number of different treatment stages. Combined mechanical cleaning units include sequentially operating strainers (screens) and sand traps. The strainers are made in the form of perforated semicircular trays, inside which there are screw conveyors.
It is used at the stage of mechanical treatment as part of treatment facilities for household, industrial, storm wastewater.
The retained waste is transported by augers to the discharge openings and dumped into containers. The water that has passed through the strainers flows into the sand traps located under them, also equipped with horizontal augers, which move the fallen heavy suspensions (sand) to the collection bins, and inclined for unloading sand from the bunkers into containers.
It is important to note that when transporting both types of waste through augers, they are squeezed out. This avoids the high consumption of water used to transport sand slurry from traditional sand traps and then dehydrate it on sand pads or in bunkers.
The combined mechanical cleaning unit is made of stainless steel. The installation is fully automated and does not require the constant presence of operating personnel.
