The chemical industry unites a large number of different chemical enterprises, whose wastewater is extremely diverse in quantity, quality and toxic properties. What they have in common is that chemical plants usually produce two types of wastewater: highly polluted and slightly polluted.
Slightly polluted industrial wastewater comes from refrigeration, compressor, heat exchangers. In addition, such effluents are formed during cooling of technological equipment and production products.
Highly polluted wastewater contains various toxic impurities (phenols and their derivatives, hydrogen sulfide, etc.), as well as organic and mineral chemicals.
When choosing the technology of wastewater treatment of chemical enterprises, it is necessary to be guided by the requirements for the quality of purified water. High concentrations of organic and mineral compounds suggest cleaning in several stages, which will allow it to be brought to the required degree.
Wastewater from the production of polymers and synthetic products, plants for the production of mineral fertilizers, organic and inorganic acids, etc.
